Exceptional False Trip Rejection
Aside from the obvious durability benefits, BackTracker Heavy Duty style parking sensors are rubberized to prevent false trips on metal and fiberglass bumpers. All ultrasonic parking parking sensors work by sending out bursts of ultrasonic energy. When the sensors are deployed on metal or fiberglass bumpers, they tend to be conducted into the bumper, which reflects echoes back into the sensor.The rubberized Heavy duty sensor damps ultrasonic vibrations that would otherwise be conducted into and out of the bumper. This give it exceptional false-trip rejection.
